All Aboard! Tale of Two Bridges Boat Tour

Join SFMHS members and their guests on Sunday, May 6th for a tour of the two icons – the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge – with the man recognized as an international expert on bridges, Donald MacDonald of Donald MacDonald Architects, San Francisco.
Sunday, May 6 1 PM to 4 PM
The tour will be on board the Red and White Fleet and will leave at 1:30 PM from Pier 43 1/2, Fisherman’s Wharf. Please arrive by 1 PM for check in. Light refreshments will be served on board and the bar will be open.
MacDonald will talk about the design elements of both bridges as well as provide historic information on Alcatraz as we sail by the island. He will bring on board his two most recent books for purchase and signing, Golden Gate Bridge: History and Design of an Icon, and Alcatraz: History and Design of a Landmark.
